Results from FIRA HuroCuphumanoid robot world championships

A team from our Robotics Lab took part in this event in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from Aug 26th - 31st, 2011.
The 84m track in the marathon was completed in 8 min and 50 seconds, four minutes faster than the previous world record. This gained them 2nd place out of 17 teams - an extremely good result.
The team also won 1st place in the penalty kick at the Taipei International Robot Show (Sept 1st to 3rd).
The team consisted of Jacky Baltes, Chi Tai Cheng, ChrisIverach-Brereton, Derek Cormier, John Anderson, Stela Seo, Yan Wang, MC Lau, Andrew Winton, and Andres Espinola.
